The following amounts have been spent by my Department on travel and subsistence.
1 January to 30 September 2006 — €2,746,111.89.
1 January to 30 September 2007 — €1,122,223.33.
The reason for the decrease in expenditure in 2007 is the transfer of functions to the Road Safety Authority.
