Question 527: To ask the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if complaints made to An Gardaí by members of the public regarding PIPS, a bogus investment scheme originating from Malaysia, are still been investigated; the number of complaints received at Kells Garda Station; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have been advised by the Garda Authorities that to date, a total of 15 complaints have been received at Kells Garda Station in relation to the operation of a People in Profit System (PIPS).

The Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation is assisting in the investigation of these complaints and An Garda Síochána is continuing to liaise with the Malaysian Authorities with regard to this matter.
