Question 275: To ask the Minister for Transport the statistics for the years 2001 to 2006 for the number of driving licences issued for class A, B, C, D and E; and the number of provisional driving licences for cars only differentiating between first-time provisional driving licences and second or subsequent provisional driving licences. Under the Road Safety Authority Act 2006 (Conferral of Functions) Order 2006 (S.I. No 477 of 2006) the Road Safety Authority has now responsibility for the issue of all classes of driving licences for the categories of vehicles A, B, C, D and E and all statistics in relation to these matters.
