Question 131: To ask the Minister for Education and Science the number of appeals taken under section 29 of the Education Act 1998 to the Secretary General of her Department, where a student has been refused enrolment of a particular school; if the information in terms of the appeals will be set out in each year over the past five years on a county basis; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The information requested by the Deputy on a county by county basis is not available within my Department and would involve an inordinate amount of administrative time to compile. However, primary and post-primary tables providing a breakdown by outcome of Section 29 appeals taken against schools who refused enrolment over the last 5 years are as follows:
