Question 230: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if, in view of the recent serious flooding in the Blackrock area, he will approve the major Carysfort Maretimo stream improvement scheme submitted by Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council as a matter of urgency; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Carysfort — Maretimo Improvement Scheme is included in my Department's Water Services Investment Programme 2007-2009 as a Scheme to start construction in 2008. Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council's Preliminary Report for the scheme is under examination in my Department and is being dealt with as quickly as possible.
