In line with the Government decision of July 1998, a Poverty Impact Assessment is carried out on all significant legislative and policy proposals from the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources. These proposals are also circulated to all other Government Departments for observations on their potential impacts, including poverty proofing.
