My Department has considered the detailed reports on the site investigation which have been finalised. In the interim consideration has been given to the establishment of a group led by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment to examine the potential future use of the site. Following further consultation between the Departments I will be reporting to Government on the implications of the site investigations. My Department continues to have oversight of the management of the site on a care and maintenance basis and including the conclusion of necessary interim remedial works.
