An application for a certificate of naturalisation from the person referred to in the Deputy's Question was received in the Citizenship Section of my Department in February 2005. Officials in that Section have written to the person in question requesting further documentation in a letter dated 1 October 2007. To date, no reply has been received. The processing of the application will continue once the documentation requested has been received. I will inform the Deputy when a decision has been reached in the case.
