Question 176: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Finance the plans the Office of Public Works has to ensure that flooding does not recur in an area (details supplied) in County Mayo as local residents believe that blocked drains are a contributing factor in the flooding problems. [23032/07]

The Office of Public Works is currently engaged with Mayo County Council in investigating the cause of the problem at the area referred to. It is intended to undertake a survey of the area shortly with a view to identifying measures to reduce the flood risk.
