Question 324: To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources if his Department or properties under the control or administration thereof has suffered any loss of assets through fire, theft or flooding in 2004, 2005, 2006 and to date in 2007; the cost to the State of these losses; if action has been taken to recover these items, if stolen; and the costs involved in their replacement, if necessary. Question 325: To ask the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources if his Department has entered into any leasing arrangements for properties for the use of his Department; the details of the lease; the level of occupancy of the buildings; and the use to which the building is being put. Leasing of property and accommodation occupied by my Department is in the main managed by the Office of Public Works — my Department has no direct role in these matters. My Department has a direct involvement in leasing or renting only two small properties and details of these arrangements are set out in the table that follows this reply. The Government has decided that responsibility for the areas involved should transfer to the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
