Three senior analysts were recently recruited forming the management team for the Garda Síochána Analysis Service (G.S.A.S.). A substantial body of work is underway in order to select suitable staff; develop training needs; and service all of the information technology and infrastructural requirements of the analysis function. The structure of the analysis function and deployment of analysts throughout the organisation has yet to be finalised. However, the optimum use of the analysis function will be made in order to deliver the maximum possible benefit to An Garda Siochana in fulfilling all its responsibilities.
