Question 258: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the shortage of staff at various levels in many local authorities which is being exacerbated by the current embargo in place, particularly in planning divisions of county councils and in housing, engineering, water and sewerage schemes causing delays in progress in providing these services; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
