Question 88: To ask the Minister for Health and Children the action she is taking to improve and expand services for persons with acquired brain injuries; the specific budget set aside for this in 2007; her plans for this sector over the lifetime of the Government; the timetable envisaged; if her attention has been drawn to the lack of targeted initiatives for this group of patients in terms of funding, clinical resources and information provision; the way she will address these shortfalls; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
