The cost of implementing the Official Languages Act 2003 for my Department and its Offices to date is €160,176. To date in 2007 the number of documents published by my Department and its Offices is 17. Of these, 8 were published in English only. The number of documents published in both Irish and English is 9; these 9 documents were published in Irish and English concurrently.

My Department is fully committed to the implementation of the Official Languages Act 2003. It is already fulfilling many of the requirements of the 2003 Act, although the Department has not yet been formally notified by the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs to draw up a Statutory Scheme outlining the Department's plans for compliance with the Act.
