Question 467: To ask the Minister for Education and Science the status of the application by the board of management of a primary school (details supplied) for the erection of a new school which is warranted in the context of the information supplied, which indicates a significant increase in both the current and projected numbers of pupils that will require to be accommodated; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Department is in receipt of an application for capital funding from the school to which the Deputy refers. The application has been assessed in accordance with the published prioritisation criteria for large scale building projects. Progress on the project is being considered in the context of the multi-annual School Building and Modernisation Programme.
