Question 614: To ask the Minister for Education and Science if her attention has been drawn to the concerns of residents neighbouring schools (details supplied) in Dublin 9 in relation to anti-social activity in the grounds of the school; if her further attention has been drawn to the extensive damage being caused to the schools on a frequent basis; and if in view of these, she will give approval to the provision of security fencing for the perimeter of the school grounds. An official from the Building Unit of my Department has been in telephone contact with the school authorities. An application for emergency funding for the provision of security fencing will be submitted in the near future. As soon as the application is received it will be considered and the outcome will be notified to the school authorities without delay.
