Question 462: To ask the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food the reason shares on commonage have not been attributed to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo by the Land Commission in view of the fact that they should be rightfully theirs; if somebody from her Department or Land Commission will call to this person to resolve the issue; and the reason nobody has called to them in view of the fact that promises were made to this effect. The allotment of one of the three shares on the commonage to the person named is in accordance with the completion of a scheme prepared by the former Land Commission. One of my Inspectors recently visited the person but he was not home on that occasion. He subsequently spoke to him on the telephone and will be in touch with him again prior to the operation of the scheme.
