Question 885: To ask the Minister for Education and Science the progress of the planning application in relation to the proposed permanent site in Ongar for schools (details supplied) in Dublin 15; when building works are expected to begin on the new buildings; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The site has been secured for the schools referred to by the Deputy. The process of appointing a design team to the building project for the first named school is well underway and will be completed shortly. Architectural planning of the new building will begin immediately thereafter. The planning application refers to the second named school and a decision on this revised application is due in the next fortnight. Assuming there are no difficulties with the revised application, building works on the new school building will commence early this summer.
