Question 631: To ask the Minister for Social and Family Affairs if he will reconsider the case of a person (details supplied) in County Mayo; his views on whether contrary to Parliamentary Question No. 435 of 3 April 2007, these documents prove it is a very different matter and if he will deal with the matter in hand, as this person had to leave their former address for their own health and safety; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The supplementary welfare allowance scheme, which includes rent supplement, is administered on my behalf by the Community Welfare Division of the Health Service Executive. Owing to a communications error, the appeal submitted on behalf of the person concerned last January was overlooked. This is very much regretted. The Health Service Executive has advised that it is preparing the required documentation for submission to the Social Welfare Appeals Office. The case will be dealt with as a matter of urgency when the required documentation is received.
