Question 219: To ask the Minister for Transport if he was asked by the Taoiseach to investigate the manner in which lands (details supplied) in County Dublin were the subject of planning objections by a company under his control, Aer Rianta/Dublin Airport Authority, whose objections were successful on appeal to An Bord Pleanála on grounds of public safety; if he was informed by the board of the company of their subsequent joint venture with a private company for the development of the same lands in a similar manner to that to which they had objected on grounds of public safety; the results of any such investigation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy may be aware, this matter is the subject of legal proceedings currently under way and is therefore sub judice. In the circumstances I consider that it would be inappropriate for me to comment on the matter raised.
