Question 143: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of persons reported missing in the years 2004, 2005 and 2006; the number of those persons reported missing who remained unaccounted for at the end of each of those years; the number of persons initially reported missing who were later found dead; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am informed by the Garda authorities that the following table shows the number of persons reported missing, the number remaining untraced and number found dead for the years 2004 to 2006:
