Question 109: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the status of the residency application of a person (details supplied); the reason for the delay in this case in view of the six month requirement to process residency applications for families of EU citizens; if the decision can be expedited and the applicant's documents returned to them immediately as they wish to travel to El Salvador to visit a gravely ill family member. I am informed by the Immigration Division of my Department that the persons concerned have recently been granted permission to remain in the State and that all original documents submitted have been returned to them.
