In accordance with the provisions of The Official Languages Act 2003 my Department is committed to providing a service to respond to all correspondence and communications where the contacting party expresses an interest in conducting business through the medium of Irish. This service is in place.

In regard to the issue of extending time within which landowners may object to a proposed designation I refer to my reply to Question No. 162 of 27 February 2007.
