The total cost of energy for my Department in 2002 was €1.57 million. In 2006 the total cost was €3.78 million. It has not been possible in the time available to compile the quantity of energy used in these years. My Department is examining the question of renewable fuels and a new woodchip heating system has been installed in my Departments office in Wexford.
