Following an inspection of the proposed felling site by the Forest Inspector for the area the application has been referred, on his recommendation, to the National Parks and Wildlife Service for their consideration of the environmental impact of the proposed felling. It is understood that NPWS have recently inspected the site and their report is expected shortly. Following receipt of same the Forest Service of my Department will be in a position to make a decision on the granting of a tree felling licence for this site.
