Question 426: To ask the Minister for Health and Children her views on whether it would be timely to review the operation of the systems for dealing with persons who have been victims of child sexual abuse in view of concerns expressed that the strict observance of procedure can become very bureaucratic and delay the immediate care and support response for the client; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the delivery of health services, which is the responsibility of the Health Service Executive (HSE) under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, my Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to issue a direct reply to the Deputy.
