Article 168 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001, which commenced on 11 March 2002, requires persons who are making a submission or observation in respect of a planning application to pay a fee. The fee is collected and retained by planning authorities.
My Department began collecting statistics on these fees for the Annual Planning Statistics 2003. Figures for 2006 will be available in the coming months. The following Table sets out the fees collected for the period 2003 to 2005:
Year | Fee collected (under Article 168) |
â'¬ | |
2003 | 542,938 |
2004 | 597,778 |
2005 | 722,014 |
