Question 152: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if his attention has been drawn to the case of a person (details supplied); if a full Garda investigation of the persons allegations was carried out to ensure that there was no Garda wrongdoing in this case of an innocent person who was arrested and harassed in respect of their claims, and whose stance was vindicated by a [i]nolle prosequi[/i] being entered by the State in November 2006. I propose to take Questions Nos. 152 to 154, inclusive, together.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that a Garda Superintendent has been appointed to examine the Garda investigation file in this matter.

It would therefore in the circumstances be inappropriate for me to comment further at this time.
