Question 266: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he will confirm that the Dublin region, as a designated gateway region identified in the National Spatial Strategy and National Development Plan, will be eligible to bid for funding from the gateway innovation fund alongside the other gateways, as is implied within the NDP; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department and the Department of Finance are currently working up the terms of the operational framework for the Gateway Innovation Fund, established under the National Development Plan 2007-2013. Qualifying or assessment criteria have not yet been finalised.
