Question 277: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 201, the progress made in the Garda investigation to which he made reference in his reply at that time; the precise role which the Director of Public Prosecutions has in this case in view of the fact that this has been queried; the present position of this case and his views on same following further correspondence pertinent to the case which has been received since his reply to that question; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 201 of 14 February, 2007. The position remains unchanged.

Correspondence recently received from the legal representative of the person in question does not materially alter this position.
