Question 114: To ask the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the protection there is for applicants with work permits where their employers submit their applications for renewal of the permit late thus depriving an applicant of continuity in regard to an application for naturalisation or citizenship; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Applications for Work Permits are issued in accordance with the Employment Permits Act 2006 and are processed in order of receipt. I have no role or responsibility in relation to matters of naturalisation or citizenship. These are matters for my colleague the Minister for Justice Equality and Law Reform.
