Question 584: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the anomaly in relation to the affordable housing scheme for those working within the State services who do not qualify as they do not meet the income criterion; the plans he has to address this situation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The income criteria used to determine eligibility for affordable housing do not distinguish between different categories of employment from which income may be derived. Accordingly my Department has not been made aware of the existence of an anomaly as referred to in the Question.
