Question 419: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform his views on whether the working conditions for members in the divisional headquarters of An Garda Síochána in Wexford is unsatisfactory; if his attention has been drawn to the level of frustration at the lack of progress on this issue; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am aware that there is a need for a new Divisional Headquarters in Wexford and in this regard the Office of Public Works are finalising the purchase of a new site. As soon as this process is complete, the OPW will engage contractors for the building of the new station. In the interim, any essential maintenance to the existing station will be carried out under the Garda maintenance programme.
