Question 367: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if, in view of his failure to respond to Parliamentary Question No. 228 of 21 November 2006 he has received the report from the Garda authorities related to the future of the Garda station on Watercourse Road, Blackpool, Cork; and if he will provide this Deputy with that information. I understand that the Garda authorities are considering a range of options in relation to the station referred to in the Deputy's question. I should add that the formulation of proposals in relation to the opening and closing of Garda stations is a matter, in the first instance, for the Garda Commissioner in the context of the annual policing plan, as provided for in section 22 of the Garda Síochána Act 2005.
