Question 390: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the specific purpose of the €10 million allocated in the Budget 2007 for water infrastructure for local authorities; the allocation to each local authority concerned; when these funds will be issued; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The purpose of this funding is to alleviate pressure on local authorities most affected by the additional operational costs arising in relation to the domestic element of new water services infrastructure. Allocations in respect of this funding will be notified to relevant local authorities shortly.
