Question 374: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he will provide a complete list of grants under the 2006 biodiversity plan; the value of each grant made; the estimated cost of the scheme in 2006; the projected cost of the scheme for 2007; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I assume that the Question refers to the Biodiversity Fund, which I announced in November 2005, following the publication of the Interim Review of the National Biodiversity Plan. The Fund was one of a range of initiatives which I announced to support the ongoing implementation of the National Biodiversity Plan, and is administered by the Heritage Council.

A total of €500,000 was allocated to the Fund in 2006 and a similar funding will be made available in 2007. Details of individual grants paid are available from the Heritage Council and are also available on the Council's website.
