Question 37: To ask the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if Irish officials, during the 1960s, boarded and searched planes at Shannon en route to Cuba; if so, the basis on which these searches were carried out; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [39583/06]

I am informed that there is no information available in my Department, the Garda Síochána or the Department of Transport to indicate that aircraft at Shannon Airport en route to Cuba were boarded and/or searched.
