Question 250: To ask the Minister for Transport if he has issued a SI order prohibiting fishing vessels from towing operations other than fishing nets, with reference to Maritime Safety Act 2005, section 47 safety regulations — passenger boats, fishing vessels and pleasure craft (19)-(2) (g) and the 1992 Act as amended by section 44 of the 2000 Act as amended by No. 11/2005 of the Maritime Safety Act 2005; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have not made any regulations prohibiting the towing of anything (other than fishing nets) by or from fishing vessels nor do I have any plans to do so currently.
