Question 71: To ask the Minister for Health and Children her views on whether it is acceptable that almost eight years since an inquiry was established into alleged abuse (details supplied) people are still waiting for results; if she will guarantee the publication of this report; the timeframe for publication; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy is aware I am on record in this House as to my concern at the length of time which has elapsed since the initial inquiry commenced. My officials have been and are in regular contact with the Health Service Executive seeking a report on the matter. I have today asked officials from my Department to write to the CEO of the HSE seeking to have this matter expedited as a matter of urgency.
