Question 63: To ask the Minister for Finance further to Parliamentary Question No. 260 of 10 October 2006 the status on the sale of the site of Quin Garda Station (details supplied) to a voluntary housing association in the village in order that suitable accommodation may be provided for the community's elderly people; and if he will make a statement on the matter. A request to acquire a plot of land at Quin Garda station has been received from a voluntary housing association within the village. The Commissioners of Public Works are awaiting a response from the Department of Justice, Equality & Law Reform and the Garda Authorities in relation to their future requirements at Quin Garda station and the possibility of disposing a plot of land to the housing association.
