Question 552: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government if he will amend the RAS scheme and reduce from 18 months the time they must wait to qualify for the scheme for those who have been deemed to be homeless under the 1988 Act; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Any person who is deemed to be homeless and who is assessed by the housing authority to have a long term housing need is eligible for RAS.
