Question 259: To ask the Minister for Education and Science the position in relation to the application from the parents of a school (details supplied) in County Wicklow who are anxious that their children will have the option to continue their education through the medium of Irish at second level; if this can be sanctioned as a matter of urgency; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Department is in receipt of an application to establish a Gaelcholáiste in the area to which she refers. This application is currently under consideration and a decision will be communicated to the proposer as soon as possible.
