Examination of the submission made by the Stardust Victim's Committee calling for a new public inquiry is at an advanced stage. It is expected that a detailed response will issue within the next three weeks. I can also inform the Deputy that my Department has advised the Committee that it will initiate and oversee a process intended to lead to the identification of the five unidentified victims. The timescale for this project, the full costs of which will be borne by the Department, should be available very soon and will of course be shared with the next of kin.
