I propose to take Questions Nos. 173 to 177, inclusive, together.

As outlined in my replies to Parliamentary Question No.'s 205 and 208 of 14th November, there are plans under the Garda Building Programme to build smaller standard stations at Kilconnell, Athleague, Ballyforan, Cootehall and Drumshambo stations.

Projects are progressed under the various Garda Building Programmes on the basis of agreed priorities. This is achieved by consensus and with the cooperation and commitment of all concerned — the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform, the Garda authorities and Representative Associations and the Office of Public Works from whose Vote the capital works for Garda properties are funded. Progress in each case is dependent on a number of factors including the priorities as determined by Garda Headquarters taking into account the merits of the case made by local Garda Management and associated reports supplied by the Office of Public Works. In some instances, the commencement of a project may first be dependent on the successful acquisition of a suitable site for the proposed development. Accordingly, it is not possible to say at this point in time, when works will commence at these locations.
