Question 359: To ask the Minister for Transport if he will provide a grant to the Limerick marine search and rescue service for the employment of a caretaker at its premises on the Dock Road, Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [39614/06]

The Department of Transport manages the scheme under which the Limerick Marine Search and Rescue Service receives grant payment. An annual current grant is paid to Limerick Search and Rescue Service under the scheme. The purposes for which the grant is used are a matter for individual recipients under the scheme.
