Question 351: To ask the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the amount each local authority has received in funding from his Department in relation to the provision of accommodation for Travellers in 2004, 2005 and to date in 2006. [36950/06]

Travellers are accommodated in standard local authority accommodation funded through the local authority social housing programme as well as through the provision of Traveller specific accommodation. The Table sets out the funding provided by my Department to local authorities in respect of the provision of new, and the refurbishment of existing, Traveller specific accommodation in 2004, 2005 and to date in 2006.
