Question 126: To ask the Minister for Finance the status of the recently produced Phoenix Park Transportation Study; if he envisages a period of public consultation on its recommendations; the timescale over which he plans to have the individual recommendations implemented; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I wish to confirm that the Study in question was formulated following wide ranging consultation and following completion of the report recently, a number of presentations on the Study were held for a number of interested parties including local elected representatives, local residents and statutory authorities. Consultation is currently ongoing.

The next step is to proceed with implementation of the principal measures recommended in the Study, taking into account the feedback from both the consultation and presentation processes. The broad objective is to commence implementation of the measures early in 2007 and review their effects after 4-6 months.
