Question 511: To ask the Minister for Transport the amount spent to date under the economic and social infrastructure operational programme under the National Development Plan; the breakdown of the amount spent in each region under the plan; the amount estimated to be spent by the end of the NDP, with a breakdown for each region; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Final data in respect of the period up to 30 June 2006 will be available following the normal meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the Economic and Social Infrastructure Operational Programme which is scheduled to take place in Dublin on Friday next, 27th October. The data in question will be supplied to the Deputy following adoption at that meeting.

In the meantime, I am in a position to provide data of actual expenditure from 1 January 2000 up to the end of December 2005 under the Programme, together with related forecasts of expenditure to the end of the Programme as presented to the 14th meeting of the ESIOP Monitoring Committee on 28 April 2006. The material in question is provided in the following table.
