The management of IDA Ireland's industrial property portfolio is day-to-day operational matter for the agency and not a matter in which I have a function.

In view of the Deputy's interest, I have made enquiries and I have been informed by IDA Ireland that it does not have an advance factory facility in Blacksparks Industrial Estate, Athy. However, IDA did construct a building at Woodstock Industrial Estate, Athy, County Kildare in 2000. I understand that this building is occupied by an Enterprise Ireland client company since 2004.

I have been informed by IDA Ireland that the lands in question, which are located in Kildare Town, Monasterevin and Castledermot, are being marketed on an ongoing basis to potential investors, both overseas and indigenous, as a location for new investment.
