The total spent to the end of June 2006 under the eCommerce and communication measures of the Border, Midlands and Western and Southern and Eastern regional operational programme is €99.6 million. The total expenditure under the programme is estimated to be €179.66 million. Although outturn for the measure is below target, expenditure will accelerate rapidly through the remainder of 2006 and during 2007. Expenditure under the programme will primarily be on the second phase of the Metropolitan Area Networks Programme.
